Dr. Nicole Cavallo

Dr. Nicole Cavallo, Psy.D, is a post-doctoral resident at Pediatric Psychology Associates. She earned her Master’s (M.S.) and Doctorate (Psy.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Cavallo has trained specifically in working with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and other-related neurodevelopmental disorders. She has stayed on top of the most current neurodiversity affirming practices, as she sees feels passionate about creating an accepting and compassionate environment. Dr. Cavallo has been trained to conduct evidence-based and comprehensive psychological, developmental, and diagnostic evaluations for early childhood through emerging adulthood. Her clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She delivers parent training to help families better understand and strengthen their relationship with their child. Moreover, she provides psychotherapeutic services to youth facing challenges such as ADHD, learning differences, behavior concerns, anxiety, and those working through transitional periods. Through collaboration with parents and school staff, she provides consultation and coaching, emphasizing positive behavioral strategies to promote healthy child/adolescent development in everyday interactions.

Dr. Cavallo completed her predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Services Center, with a specialization in school psychology-related assessment and intervention.  In addition, she completed her practicum at Pediatric Psychology Associates, where she assisted with facilitation of the Social Understanding and Relationship Fundamentals groups and PEERS Teens Program.

Dr. Cavallo sees patients in the Miami Beach and Weston offices, and also provides services virtually via telehealth.
