Dr. Leticia Pérez Miranda is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Pérez Miranda graduated with a doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s Clinical Psychology Program. She completed her Pre-Doctoral internship at the Institute for Child and Family Health in Miami, Florida, a community mental health center. During this year she provided individual psychotherapy to children and adolescents, conducted group therapy sessions following an evidence-based model for at-risk boys and their families, and conducted comprehensive psychological evaluations. This setting provided training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), child-centered play therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Dr. Pérez Miranda has extensive experience providing psychotherapeutic services to children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds to treat mood/anxiety disorders, behavioral concerns, family conflict, pain management, and developmental delays including Autism Spectrum and related disorders. She is also skilled in supporting patients as they process issues related to grief and trauma. Dr. Pérez Miranda has been trained to provide SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), a short-term intervention program to help children overcome problematic anxiety. Dr. Pérez Miranda is part if the EMPOWER (Early Developmental Model of Parent-Oriented Web-Based Live Services & Resources) program team that provides a live online developmental screening and parent guided intervention for young children. Additionally, she has experience running groups for children focused on improving social skills and emotional regulation. And is a Group Facilitator for our SURF and PEERS group programs. Dr. Pérez Miranda completed her resident training at Pediatric Psychology Associates where she continues to provide services. She provides therapy via Telehealth.
