Dr. Amrita Singh is a Licensed Psychologist with a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She enjoys collaborating with her clients to meet their individual goals. Dr. Singh specializes in providing evidence-based treatment and assessment for autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) as well as related presenting concerns such as ADHD, academic stress, and interpersonal conflict.
Dr. Singh utilizes primarily a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach that incorporates exposure response prevention (ERP) as needed. Dr. Singh completed the Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training (PBTTI) through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). She also provides parent training and is a provider trained to deliver the SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) treatment program. In addition, Dr. Singh is a trained provider of Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C/UP-A).
Dr. Singh is a certified provider for the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Preschoolers and Young Adults social skills program. In addition to individual and group therapy, she conducts psychological, psychoeducational, developmental, and autism diagnostic evaluations. Dr. Singh has training and experience administering assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), and the Brief Observation of Symptoms of Autism (BOSA).
Dr. Singh received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She has worked with diverse populations at university clinics, community mental health clinics, and an academic medical center. She completed an APA accredited internship at the Elizabeth Faulk Center for Counseling in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Singh also completed her Clinical Child/Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Dr. Singh is a PSYPACT-authorized psychologist and holds an active Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT), allowing her to provide tele-psychological services across participating states. Dr. Singh sees patients out of the Weston office.
