At PPA, we believe that meaningful and lasting change begins with empowering those closest to the child. Our Parent and Caregiver Intervention Programs are designed to equip parents and caregivers with the tools, strategies, and guidance needed to support their child’s development, emotional growth, and behavioral health. Whether your child is navigating anxiety, developmental delays, or behavioral challenges, our evidence-based programs: EMPOWER, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and SPACE, offer tailored, research-backed interventions that center the parent-child relationship. Led by experienced clinicians, these programs prioritize caregiver involvement and are delivered through personalized coaching in office, virtually, or through a hybrid model. Through collaboration and expert support, we help families build stronger connections and create supportive home environments where children can thrive.

Empower Intervention
EMPOWER is a parent/caregiver-focused program designed to support young children’s development through direct coaching and guidance. Led by a multidisciplinary team of a Licensed Psychologist and a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in early childhood, the program is tailored for families with children under age 5. EMPOWER offers live coaching sessions for parents and caregivers: in-office, virtually, or through a hybrid model. Grounded in strong research, the program targets key developmental areas such as communication, socialization, play, adaptive functioning, and emotional/behavioral regulation.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a parent-based intervention that empowers caregivers to support their child’s emotional and behavioral development. This evidence-based treatment is designed to help families strengthen their relationships and address challenging behaviors in young children. PCIT enhances the parent-child relationship while equipping caregivers with effective tools to manage difficult behaviors.

SPACE Intervention
SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a parent-based program designed to help children struggling with anxiety by equipping their parents or caregivers with effective tools and strategies. Developed by Eli Lebowitz, Ph.D. at Yale University's Child Study Center, SPACE is an eight-session intervention proven through extensive research to reduce problematic anxiety in children (ages 4 to 17).
