Dr. Kristen Barber-Goins is Licensed Psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults. Her clinical specialties include mood disorders (anxiety and depression), behavioral difficulties, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, as well as posttraumatic stress disorder. Dr. barber-Goins is certified in Cognitive Processing and Prolonged Exposure therapies. She also works with couples and families to address relational conflict and divorce.
Dr. Barber-Goins completed her graduate work in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University with an APA accredited internship at The University of Texas Health and Science Center. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Texas Psychological Association. Dr. Barber-Goins has worked with PPA since 2011. She has also served as a psychologist for Department of Defense in support of The United States Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, as well as Royal Air Force Base in Lakenheath, England from 2015 to 2017, followed by working with Veteran’s at the Department of Veteran Affairs. She currently provides services both in Georgia and South Florida.
