Dr. Amanda Strunin
Dr. Amanda Strunin is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) specializing in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders in adolescents and adults, including mood disorders (anxiety and depression), eating disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, behavioral problems, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and personality disorders. She also works with couples and families on issues of parenting, relationship conflict, divorce, and bereavement; and, she conducts therapy for adolescents focused on social anxiety, peer conflict, and self-esteem issues. Dr. Strunin completed her graduate work in the clinical psychology program at the University of Miami, Health Psychology Track, and pre-doctoral internship training at the Durham VA Medical Center. Her education and professional training include expertise in health psychology, with specializations in sleep disorders, diabetes, lifestyle modification, and stressors related to managing a chronic illness. She also has extensive experience with eating disorders from her post-doctoral residency and staff psychologist at Oliver-Pyatt Centers, an eating disorder treatment center in South Florida. Dr. Strunin is a member of the America Psychological Association, the Society of Behavioral Medicine, and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. Dr. Strunin is currently providing services via telehealth.
